Paul was an Equity Analyst in the City for over 10 years, among the first to be focused on the gambling sector. He researched and reported on small and large gambling company stocks, as well as advising many companies in relation to IPO and M&A. During his time in the city he worked for a number of Investment Banks, most recently Investec and Collins Stewart (now Cannacord). Following on from this, he moved into the industry, as Corporate Development Director for leading gambling company William Hill, advising on retail strategy, regulatory issues, the racing industry, supply chain management, and M&A. Paul has proven strategic and analytical skills, as well as in depth sector knowledge and a broad range of industry and professional services contacts.


David has over 15 years experience in leadership roles. Most recently he was CEO of OpenBet for eleven years, during his tenure the company experienced tremendous growth ultimately being sold for $337m. Under his leadership OpenBet was established as a global leader securing major customers worldwide based on a unique business culture. Prior to this he established Kana’s European operations a company which was one of the top ten IPOs on NASDAQ in 1999. Prior to leadership roles David enjoyed an outstanding career in sales with Sun Microsystems and Sybase. Expertise includes: IPO preparation, M&A, MBO, managing rapid growth, international expansion, developing an effective culture, as well as a detailed knowledge of the gambling market.



William has over 18 years experience in the regulated gaming industry. As Commercial Director at GTECH G2, William was responsible for the remote revenue of both WLA (lottery) and commercial gambling clients. While Corporate Development Director at GTECH, he was directly involved in the series of acquisitions that gave GTECH its remote footprint. Prior to joining GTECH in 1995, William was Finance Director of Coffee Republic plc. William is a Chartered Accountant.

William has considerable experience in the regulated remote gambling and lottery markets. He is also proven in developing strategy, leading operations and delivering M&A.


Dan joined Regulus Partners in 2014 from The Rank Group Plc where he had been Strategy Director and member of the company’s Executive Committee. Prior to joining Rank, Dan worked for the leisure group, Whitbread PLC where he was Head of Investor Relations, Formerly a director of trade body, The Bingo Association, Dan led Rank’s negotiations with HM Treasury on the 2014 changes to bingo duty.  


As well as strategic planning and political-regulatory risk management, Dan has also held executive responsibilities for customer insights, procurement, international development, capital expenditure and capital market communications. He is a member of the European Association for the Study of Gambling and founding chairman of the charity YGAM, which raises awareness of gambling-related harm among children and young people.



Michael was a director of Alderney Gambling Control Commission, where he worked for ten years. Latterly director of licensing and strategy in this leading remote gambling jurisdiction, Michael was responsible for enforcement action throughout his career in Alderney and had previously held the position of Chief Inspector where he was responsible for all compliance activities of the regulator during a period of dramatic growth. He was significantly involved in the development of the jurisdiction’s regulatory regime and the publication of its guidelines, both widely regarded as market-leading.

Previously Michael had been an executive director and Chief Operating Officer at Aureos Capital, a private equity fund manager. Prior to that Michael was Director, Finance for the Royal Bank of Canada in the City of London. He qualified as an FCA with KPMG London office. Michael has extensive experience in both gambling and financial sectors and a wide range of contacts in the UK and globally.


Francesca worked in Business Development for eGaming software provider Betgenius prior to setting up as a freelance Consultant to the Sports and Gambling Industry, where she specialises in advising small and medium sized businesses on new business ventures as well as sales and marketing projects.

As a passionate horse racing fan, she has excellent knowledge of racing and also runs a horse racing blog ‘Miss du Turf’. Prior to joining the Gambling Industry, Francesca represented GB as an Event Rider.



Mark has over 15 years experience within the gaming industry. Having graduated in 2000 with a BSc in Mathematics, Mark has worked on trading floors within several European bookmakers such as Ladbrokes, Boylesports and Stan James, with responsibility for introducing automated trading platforms to each of these companies, as well as leading large trading teams. In 2013, Mark set up as an independent consultant and has specialised in advising start-up and growth businesses within the sector. With a desire to innovate, he advised SIS Betting’s R&D division through several product launches. Mark’s expertise covers product development, automated odds compilation, risk management, and data analytics across a range of product verticals, channels and geographies.
